I began working for Max Connect Digital, a Utah-based digital marketing agency, in January of 2021. I initially joined the Creative Team as a Junior Designer, but was promoted to Senior after my first year. Throughout my time at Max Connect, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, and am trusted to grow and explore the brand’s visual style, while helping clients develop theirs.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT
When I first started working at MCD, one of the SEO managers was using Canva to create designs + posts for the company social channels. I quickly noticed an untapped potential to not only expand on our company image, but to show the true capability of our Creative Team’s skillsets. It wasn’t long before I was took on the responsibility of designing content for our social pages.

'OUT SICK' SKI BUFF
First off, I really want to thank Utah for developing my passion for winter. I used to take the occasional (company approved) half-day off with some of my coworkers to hit the slopes. After a few trips, I noticed that our unofficial club needed some sort of ‘badge of honor’ to further unify us. After a few concepts and revisions, I designed a fun logo to be printed on some super-warm buffs. After a couple of seasons on the mountain, I’m proud to say that this buff still makes me feel as cool as it did the day it was designed.

COMPANY REBRAND
Two months after starting at MCD, my team was able to sweet talk the executives into a rebrand. The goal was to give our masculine logo an approachable and unisex update. Working alongside our directors and designers, I designed a new logomark and helped concept the supporting brand identity. This was paired with a custom set of 30 branded icons, and a complete rebuild of all branded documents. The update was well-received within the company, and it helped present the company as the digital marketing powerhouse it was.

HOLIDAY MAILER
This mailer was organized as a holiday promotion to generate leads for our marketing agency. Working alongside our PR and Strategic Partnership teams, I was assigned to execute all creative. I was heavily inspired by the geometric shapes commonly used in block printing patterns. This promotion was the first of its kind at MCD, and we shipped over 100 packages. It kickstarted a whole series of mailer campaigns that were used to produce some of the most successful client relationships the company had seen.

GOLDEN TICKET MAILER
After getting our toes wet with the holiday mailer, we sought an industry-specific approach to land clients in the homebuilding, automotive, and motorsports markets. We found a chocolatier who makes elaborate molds for gifting, and set to brainstorming our campaign. This was around the release date of the new Wonka movie. I became inspired to pair the chocolate gifts with a “golden ticket” opportunity, promoting our services. This campaign helped us gain 8 new clients, and we are in the process of closing 4 others.
